The Unbearable Ease of Depoliticization

In her article, "The Unbearable Ease of Depoliticization", Sonja Laboš gives a definite proof that people will stop at nithing to gain profit. She talks about how the how the Yugoslavian monuments have been expoilted, with no regards to their cultural and historical value.

One of the fouces of her article is the advertisemnt of the Yugoslavian heritage. Througt three books, with nonetheless the same title "Spomeniks", one by Jan Kempanaers, the second by Williem Jan Neuteling and the last by Jonathan Jimenz, the monuments of former socialistic republics are being portreyed as nothing more that beautiful work to be looked at, with their meaning disregarded as not important.

This is what Marxists call the logic of safety - milking the idea until there is nothing left. As Leboš suggests, social capilatists would even go as far as to make products for commercial purposes and crating story for better profit. In one of this situations, an online shop "Yunicorns" made profit off of making sculptures, T-hirts and pins of Yugoslavian monuments, and adding a little "fairy-tale effect" by saying that yunicorns are "gigantic stone shapes made once upon a time in a non-existing land of Yugoslavia".
