Explaining who I am in five concepts is a truly arduous task, however I will give it a try. I am an Empathizing Mad Man, who enjoys Thinking deeply as well as Carnal pleasures, with ease and Determination.

In his essay American Dreams, Kevin Jennings, the founder of GLSEN, explains how he conquered obstacles in the path to his goal, which he eventually achieved. Thus he explains his own version of the popularized American Dream.

Because he grew up very poor, from and early age he had dreams of grandeur, in particular a dream of becoming the president of The United States of America. He knew, because pop culture taught him so, that this was a possible dream. If you put in the hours and work hard enough, you can achieve anything. He so completely immersed himself in this goal, that he started changing his personality to accommodate the personality required for his dream. This had an effect of estranging him from his own family and even worse, from himself. He completely lost touch with reality and in one instance, even tried to commit suicide. What he was hiding deeply inside himself this whole time was that he was homosexual. This non-admittance to himself as well as the world burned him from the inside. Only upon accepting himself was he able to form his own narrative and set achievable goals. He started following a path  not imposed by society or pop-culture, but one imposed by himself, which he soon realized, is the true American Dream. This path posed different questions about equality and justice and made him question the main beliefs in our society. Most importantly it made him realize that everybody is fighting a battle, and that battle always has a valid cause
