 Spectacle:

Something that is sensational, new and attention-grabbing. It is widespread through all types of media, making it a cliche at this point. It is more often than not over-exagerated so as to draw the most attention possible, at which point it can be easily manipulated.

Superstructure:

According to Marxist theory, superstructure are the ideologies that dominate a given era. Everything that man says, imagines or conceives, whether it be politics, laws, morality, religion, metaphysics and so on.

Synergy:

It is a strategy that media companies us to maximize profit, by using multiple smaller companies who share development, production and distribution.

Objectivity:

Presenting all facts in a fair and impartial way.

Information bias:

Information bias is defined as any sistematic difference from the truth that arises in the collection, recall, recording and handling of information, as well as how missing data is dealt with. There are four types of information bias: Personalization, dramatization, fragmentation and authority

Political bias:

Political bias involves the slanting and altering of information to make a political position or candidate seem more attractive to those of the same political leanings.
